Where is Aardvark?Our main studio in Vancouver is Source-Connect equipped to record anywhere in the world. Through our affiliation with Minds Eye Productions in Portland, Maine, we also record in Portland and in studios all over the US, including New York, Los Angeles, and Washington.

How long does it take to record an audiobook?Our team approach means we work faster and more accurately. We typically record a finished hour of audiobook in under 1.5 studio hours. Our skilled proofreaders give us overnight turnaround and we deliver corrected files in a flash. We can complete a typical 10-hour novel in as little as one to two weeks from receipt of the manuscript.

What does it cost to record a self-published audiobook?We charge per finished hour. Rates are determined by the complexity of the text and the amounts of preparation, engineering, editing, and quality control required, starting at $350 per finished hour. But talk to us.

Do you do music and sound effects?On request we can add your music and effects to intros, outros, and interstitials. Additional sound design is available by special quote.

Can I be a narrator?We teach in accredited acting and media schools where we train and mentor new narrators all the time. If you’re interested in learning the art of audiobook narration, hit us up on our contact page. Aardvarks don’t bite. Well, not hard.
